Create ‘Boomerang’ Lead Source Value
Important: Automation in the Boomerang Salesforce package relies on the exact Lead Source picklist value “Boomerang”.
Adding a Lead Source value (Recommended)
- Create a “Boomerang” Lead Source picklist value. To do this, you need to go to the setup option on the top right of your Sales Force Instance.

- Next, you need to click on the “Object Manager” button on the left of the Home page button.

- From here, go to the object “Lead”.

- In Lead, find the “Field & Relationships” option on the left side pane on the screen.

- Here, search for the Field Label “Lead Source”

- In “Lead Source”, you will find an option to create Lead Source Picklist Values. Click on “New” here.

- Type in the input “Boomerang” here and save it.

- You are all set. Now Boomerang will automatically set this value when creating a new lead or contact, but NOT set it if there is already a matching lead in your system that we update
- This helps us properly attribute the impact of Boomerang, and can also be used as the primary flag for routing
