Set up Boomerang Notifications on Hubspot

Notifications play a significant role in driving adoption and timely action of Boomerangs by the sales team.

There are four key stakeholders for Boomerang notifications, viz.

  1. Sellers: BDR, AEs
  1. Sales Managers
  1. Revenue Leadership
  1. Past relationship owners: Customer Success, Account Management
 

There are two categories of notifications based on the timing and frequency of lead pushes, viz.

  1. On-Push Notifications
  1. Weekly progress update notifications

Boomerang supports notifications through multiple channels, which is configured with customers on the basis of their current tech stack. Some examples of delivery channels for notifications are:

  1. Email
  1. Slack / MS Teams
  1. Hubspot reports/list

Most of our customers use third party applications like LeanData, Marketo, Zapier, Rupert etc. to orchestrate the Boomerang notifications in concert with the rest of their setup.

Setting up On-Push Notifications

We recommend that you keep the notification methods similar to what your team is currently used to for receiving notifications for leads from other channels. This eliminates a new learning curve which could result in a drop in adoption.

Method 1: Using Hubspot Workflows

Use the Workflow Builder in Hubspot to configure the on-push notifications to the sales team and sales management regarding the new contact, and intimate the customer success team about transition of the customer contact.

Method 2: Using Boomerang native capability

Weekly Progress Update Notifications

There are multiple methods to configure the weekly progress update notifications for the i) Sellers, ii) Sales Management, iii) Customer Success.

Method 1: Using Hubspot Workflows

You could schedule a weekly trigger of Boomerang Hubspot dashboard to individuals on slack (e.g. contact owner) or slack channels. Your Boomerang partner will help set up the dashboard(s) at the time of onboarding.

Method 2: Customer notifications from Boomerang

Your Boomerang team can help set up multiple reporting templates based on audience group and triggers. Here are some examples of custom notifications for weekly progress updates.
