Salesloft Setup Guide for Boomerang Job Change Leads
This guide walks you through how to set up your Salesloft workflows to automatically track and engage job change leads surfaced by Boomerang.
Please refer to the Loom video walkthrough for a step-by-step visual explanation.
Step 1: Sync Custom Fields from Salesforce to Salesloft
In Part 2 of the video, you’ll see how to sync key custom fields from Salesforce to Salesloft. These fields are essential for identifying Boomerang job change leads and enabling trigger-based workflows.
Recommended Custom Fields to Sync:
Field Name | Description |
Is a BR | Identifies whether the contact is tracked as a Boomerang lead ( True or False ). |
Account Type/Subtype | Field used to differentiate between prospect and customer accounts. |
BR Past Relationship | Describes the contact’s previous connection with your company (e.g., past user, past champion). |
BR Past CRM Account | The prior company where this contact was tracked in your CRM. 🔔 Note: This is a Salesforce lookup field. You’ll need to configure it to sync the Account Name into Salesloft. |
BR Job Start Date | The date when the contact started their new job. |
Step 2: Configure Trigger Conditions for Auto-Enrollment
In Part 3 of the video, you'll learn how to create automation rules that enroll contacts into Salesloft cadences when relevant job change events occur.
Suggested Trigger Conditions:
Condition | Field | Trigger Type |
a. | Is a BR = True | Field equals |
b. | BR Job Start Date | Trigger on Update |
c. | Title | Trigger on Update |
d. | Account Sub Type ≠ Customer | Field doesn’t equal |
👉
Final Logic: Trigger = a AND b AND c AND d
This ensures contacts are only auto-enrolled when all four conditions are satisfied.
