Step 1: Connect your Salesforce to Boomerang App

Salesforce Integration Setup

Rudy requires a dedicated Salesforce Integration User to securely access the data needed for warm introduction paths.

Step 1: Create Salesforce Integration User

Create a dedicated Salesforce Integration User for Rudy. This user should not be tied to an individual employee.

Please refer to the full list of required permissions here: Permission Set

Step 2: Connect Salesforce Integration User

Once the integration user is created, follow the steps below to connect it to Boomerang.

Before You Begin

  • Log into Salesforce directly as the integration user
  • Use an Incognito / Private browser window to avoid session conflicts
  • Do not use Salesforce’s “Login As” feature — it will not work for this setup
Integration users with SSO, 2FA, or API-only access are supported. If the user is API-only, you may see a login error initially, but authorization will still complete once the session is active.

Head over to Boomerang application: Settings → Integrations → Connect to Salesforce.

  • Once you login into your Boomerang Account, you need to click on the button on the top right-

  • A shelf will slide out, on which you need to click on the connect button for Salesforce-

  • Once authorization is complete, Salesforce will be successfully connected.
