Connecting your Salesloft account to Boomerang ensures your sales team gets the most out of our job-change tracking and play automation. With this integration, Boomerang can seamlessly pass relationship signals into Salesloft and trigger the right follow-up actions for your team.
What does this connection do?
By connecting Salesloft, Boomerang can:
- Push identified job-change signals directly into Salesloft.
- Automatically assign contacts to the right cadences.
- Sync custom fields (e.g., Boomerang Plays, Past CRM Account).
- Ensure your sales team gets real-time notifications and can take action without manual data entry.
Permissions & Access
To make the integration work seamlessly, Boomerang requires specific Salesloft permissions. Below is a breakdown:
Scope | Reason / What It Enables |
people:read | Fetch prospect (people) records, including custom field values, CRM mappings, and cadence memberships. |
people:write | Create/update prospects (e.g., update custom field values, assign them to cadences). |
crm:read | Read CRM-related data (e.g., CRM object associations on people/accounts). Needed to access Salesforce/HubSpot linkage. |
external_id:read | Retrieve the external CRM IDs (like Salesforce Contact/Lead ID) mapped to Salesloft prospects. |
external_id_configuration:read | Understand which external ID types are configured (e.g., Salesforce Lead vs. Contact vs. Account) so you know what to fetch/update. |
team:read | Read metadata about the team, roles, groups, and templates. Useful for correctly associating cadence steps with the right team/user context. |
cadences:read | Retrieve cadences, cadence steps, and existing memberships. Needed to know which cadence to add a prospect into. |
cadences:write | Enroll people into cadences, update memberships, and progress them through cadence steps. |
workflow:read | Retrieve available custom fields, list views, and imports. Needed to know which custom fields exist before updating. |
workflow:write | Create or update custom fields and manage list views/imports. Required to define new fields and update them for prospects. |
Steps to Connect
Step 1: Open the Boomerang App and click on the top right icon here:

Step 2: Click on the Salesloft connection here:

When you tap on "Connect to Salesloft", you will be prompted to sign in to Salesloft with your account credentials. Please sign-in to complete your connection.
This will connect your Salesloft to the Boomerang app. You’re all set!
