Adding "Boomerang Section" to Lead View in Salesforce: A Step-by-Step Guide

We're excited to help you set up a Boomerang Section in your Lead view on your Salesforce platform. This guide will help you through the steps.

(Ensure that the Boomerang Managed Package has been setup before you start with this guide)

Step 1: Add “BR - Lead Details” managed custom component to Lead layout

  • Begin on the Salesforce Leads page. Navigate to the top right and click on the Settings icon and select Edit Page

  • In Custom - Managed section in Components.
  • Drag and drop Boomerang - Lead Details component to the Lead Layout.

Fields in Boomerang Details Component

• Contact Name • BR Current Job Started Date • BR Plays • BR Past CRM Account • BR Past CRM Account Owner
• BR Past CRM Contact • BR Past CRM Contact Owner • BR LinkedIn Url • BR Current Role Seniority • BR Left Company

Step 2: Add Field section

Step 2.1: Add a field section below the component- A. Click on Fields B. Pull the field section to the layout C. Name the section and make it 1 column.

Step 2.2: Add the following fields to this section: 1. Contact Level Field Name: “BR Additional Details”

2. Account Level Field Name (Check Image for steps): a. “Count of Open Opps” (From Setup Step 5), b. Field that helps you identify if the Account is a Customer. (Account Type) Step2.3: Click on Save on top right

Step 3: Saving Your Work

Once you've customised these settings, hit "Save" located at the top right of the page. A section with name “Lead Details” will appear in Leads view as shown below,
